Lake Mburo national park lies in an area with beautiful hills, and vast grassy valleys interspersed with woodlands, thickets, and wetlands. It is where you will come across a huge population of impalas, topis, cape elands, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, oribis, Defassa waterbucks, bushbucks, crocodiles, bohor reedbucks, over 350 bird species including shoebill storks, ad others.

Day tour to Lake Mburo National Park

Leave Kampala for Lake Mburo, a journey estimated to go for not more than 4 hours and you will use a 4×4 drive vehicle. En route, a stopover at the Equator crossing won’t be missed, proceed to Lake Mburo N/Park for an actual game drive to see buffaloes, antelopes, leopards, birds, and a variety of antelope families, especially the impalas.

Enjoy a game drive up to the lake side where you will settle for lunch in the nearby lodge. After you will be connecting to Lake Mburo to enjoy 2-3 hours on a boat excursion which comes with remarkable sights of hippos, crocodiles, and many waterbirds.

From a game drive and boat cruise, start your journey back to Kampala. As you exit Lake Mburo National Park, keep an eye on more wildlife and reach Kampala/Entebbe late in the evening to be dropped off at a hotel for relaxation.
